Nutrition Knowledge:

Calcium:Pregnant and breast feeding women require an additional 200-400 mg of calcium, not only to maintain the mother’s physical function, but also to support the growth of the fetus’ bone and teeth.

Zinc:zinc supplementation may prevent congenital malformations (cleft lip/palate), affects fetus’ vision, and growth of the sexual organ.

Iron: Pregnant and breast feeding women require an additional 50% of iron,to recover from the blood loss during delivery. Lack of iron will cause iron deficiency, as well as the growth of the fetus.

Vitamin C: Pregnant and breast feeding women require an additional 30% of Vitamin C. It will maintain healthy bone, teeth, and hematopoiesis

Vitamin A: key for good vision, a healthy immune system, and cell growth

Vitamin B1: plays a key role in nerve, muscle, and heart function; essential for your baby’s brain development

Vitamin B6:ease morning sickness
